SENATOR ROLE​

Senators in the Model Senate program must research, debate, and vote on global policy resolutions, emulating their assigned real-world Senator’s positions and voting records.

EXPERT WITNESS ROLE

Expert Witnesses provide specialized knowledge to inform U.S. policy. Student Expert Witnesses play specific roles, testify about their character’s expertise, advocate for their character’s preferred policies, and assist Senators in drafting policy resolutions.

HIGH SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP & Individual Enrollment

World Affairs offers students two ways to get involved:

High schools can register for High School Membership to access our in-person simulations: Model Senate and Global Economic Forum. They also gain access to our public programs for faculty, students, and parents.

Students can register individually for our Individual Enrollment programs, including Citizen Diplomat Academy, Global Scholars Certificate Program, and Summer Global Leadership Seminar.

The Young Global Citizens Leadership Program is a targeted effort by the World Affairs Council and our partners to expand, deepen, and sustain the participation of public Philadelphia schools, particularly those designated as under-resourced, in World Affairs high school student programs.
