ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
H.E. Krisjan Prikk, Ambassador of Estonia to the United States
Ambassador Kristjan Prikk is the Estonian Ambassador to the United States since May 2021. Before assuming his current duties, he served as the Permanent Secretary of the Estonian Ministry of Defense. Prior to becoming the Permanent Secretary, Kristjan Prikk worked as Undersecretary for Defense Policy in the Ministry of Defense.
From 2015 to 2017 he was the Director of National Security and the Defense Coordination Unit of the Estonian Government Office. He also served as Deputy Director of the same office for two years prior. His previous Ministry of Defense assignments include serving as Defense Counsellor at the Estonian Embassy in Washington, D.C. from 2010 to 2013 and as Director of International Cooperation Department in Tallinn from 2007 to 2010.
Kristjan Prikk holds a Master’s degree from the United States Army War College and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tartu, Estonia.
Kristjan is married to Liis, they have two daughters and a son.
H.E. Anniken Huitfeldt, Ambassador of Norway to the United States
Anniken Huitfeldt is Norway’s Ambassador to the United States.
She calls Jessheim, a town close to Oslo, home. As a young adult, she studied at the University of Oslo and the London School of Economics, and she later achieved a master’s degree in foreign policy. She also worked as a researcher for five years.
