Attendees will gain insights into the diverse ways in which dietary choices can prevent and treat illnesses, enhance overall well-being, and support sustainable health practices. From the Mediterranean diet’s heart-healthy benefits to the Ayurvedic principles of balancing body and mind, we will explore local and global perspectives and innovative approaches to using food as a powerful tool for healing.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Cybille St.
Aude-Tate
Chef and co-owner of Honeysuckle Provisions
Cybille St. Aude-Tate is a Haitian-American chef and co-owner of Honeysuckle Provisions located in West Philadelphia. In her 18 years as a chef, she has evolved as an artist, using multiple mediums to pay tribute to the full breadth of Black history. Cybille has been nominated as a James Beard Award Semi-finalist, was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a Women of Distinction “Rising Star,” was awarded “Hospitality Star of the Year” by the Philadelphia Citizen, has been honored to cook at The Haitian Embassy, and for the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Her approach, informed by a degree from University of Maryland in African American Studies with a focus in Caribbean culture and aesthetics, unfolds not only in cuisine but in lectures, literature, and seminars.
In 2022, Cybille and her husband, Omar, opened Honeysuckle Provisions, an award winning Afrocentric grocery, café, and food-focused community center. Located in their neighborhood of West Philadelphia, Provisions predominantly features a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu that continues to share the stories and traditions of Black foodways. The couple recently announced that they were closing their first location and opening Honeysuckle, as a full service restaurant in early 2025.
When she’s not working Cybille enjoys spending time with family and exploring with their two toddler boys, Jupiter and Apollo.
Sue
Daugherty
CEO of MANNA
Sue joined MANNA in December 1999 as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Sue was instrumental in MANNA’s shift from providing comfort and care to those dying from AIDS to an organization helping people with over 85 different illnesses through nutrition counseling and home-delivered medically appropriate meals.
At MANNA, Sue held several positions prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2012. Sue garnered national recognition in June 2013 when she co-authored a key study, “Examining Health Care Costs Among MANNA Clients and a Comparison Group,” published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Primary Care & Community Health. This research study examined the health care cost savings associated with MANNA’s model, and continues to have ongoing impact on nutrition policy nationwide.
Sue presents MANNA’s work at conferences and meetings across the United States including the annual Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo, Harvard University’s Food as Medicine Symposium, Tulane University’s Culinary Medicine Conference, and the Root Cause Coalition’s National Summit on Social Determinants of Health. She proudly testified in front of the United States Congress.
Sue served as co-Vice Chair of the national Food Is Medicine Coalition from 2019-2022. In 2019, Sue was invited to join the Food Lab Accelerator at Google as a product owner for Food Is Medicine. Other accolades include the 2015 Jefferson College of Population Health Education Hero Award, Comcast’s Newsmakers selection, the Cancer Treatment Center’s America Caregiver Women of the Week Award, and Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders Award.
Dr. Monique
Gary
Breast Surgical Oncologist and CEO of Still Rise Farms
Dr. Monique Gary – “Dr. Mo” – is a breast surgeon, educator, and advocate for wellness. Dr. Gary is the Chief Medical Officer of Bexa and currently serves as the medical advisor and board member of leading cancer-focused institutions and organizations in Pennsylvania and across the country. Dr. Gary is also the CEO and founder of Still Rise Farms, a 40-acre farm in Sellersville, PA, that was founded as a living, learning laboratory for people facing cancer and chronic illness.
Dr. Gary believes in the power of the connection between mind, body, and spirit to promote overall wellness, and is passionate about addressing the disparities in health outcomes for marginalized people. By both exploring the inequities that lead to these disparities and helping to create pathways for access, Dr. Gary’s work, which has been published online, in print media, and featured in peer reviewed journals, aims to make wellness – physical, mental, and emotional – accessible to all.
Dr. Gary completed her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her general surgery training at UMass, followed by the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. She holds faculty appointments in surgery and serves as the Adjunct Associate Professor of the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
Beyond her surgical work, Dr. Gary is building a movement to achieve true health equity and help communities develop holistic and integrative approaches to cancer care and wellness. She is CEO of Still Rise Farm, a 40-acre farm that was founded as a “living, learning, laboratory” for cancer patients and under-resourced, marginalized communities. The farm, intended as a one-stop destination for wellness information, resources, and support, is located in Upper Bucks County, PA, where Dr. Gary can be found teaching mindfulness, body positivity and sexual wellness, and the principles of “food as medicine.”
Dr. Gary is a key opinion leader and medical advisor for the industry and Philly local community. She can be found on radioOne stations in Philadelphia giving tips for healthy living and cancer risk reduction. From serving as a health expert on Classix107.9 with Lady B, and 105.3 with Patty Jackson, to hosting Camp Jill Scott annually at her farm, Dr. Gary commits to the mission of building trust between the medical community and the community at large. Dr. Gary is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and has volunteered with Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia, and Women of Faith and Hope, a local nonprofit for women of color dealing with breast cancer.
Jay Feldstein
President and CEO, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
Jay S. Feldstein, DO ’81, serves as the eighth president and chief executive officer of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In this role, Dr. Feldstein, in conjunction with the PCOM Board of Trustees, supervises and controls all of the business and affairs of the institution including oversight of the Primary Care Innovation Fund.
Dr. Feldstein holds an impressive record of success in healthcare management. From 2010-2014, he served as president, Northern Division, Pennsylvania Managed Care Plans, at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies.
He has worked as corporate chief medical officer/senior vice president and chief medical officer/senior vice president, Medical Affairs at AmeriHealth Caritas; as senior medical director, Mid-Atlantic region, and director, Network Medical, Southern New Jersey/Delaware division at Aetna; as medical director at Concentra Health Center; as president/chief executive officer at Occupational Health Resources, Inc.; as founder, president and medical director at Spectracare Occupational Health Services; and as a physician and board member at Doctors for Emergency Services.
In 2019, Dr. Feldstein was invited to join Philadelphia Business Journal Leadership Trust, an exclusive community for influential business leaders, executives and entrepreneurs in Greater Philadelphia. He serves on the Board of Directors for MANNA and the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, and he was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis to serve on the incoming administration’s Transition Advisory Committee on Health and Human Services.
In 2021, Dr. Feldstein was honored with the American Osteopathic Association’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Unification Award for his exemplary leadership and commitment to promoting and advancing DEI at PCOM and in the osteopathic medical profession. And in 2023, Dr. Feldstein was named one of Philadelphia Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs.
Dr. Feldstein has written for Fortune, U.S. News & World Report, Modern Healthcare, Newsweek, and the Philadelphia Business Journal, among others.
Dr. Feldstein earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from PCOM. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware and his internship at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey. He is board certified in occupational medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
