About the Event

There are currently three shooting wars in the Arab Middle East — in Yemen, in Libya, and, of course, the charnel house of Syria.

Dr. Adam Garfinkle, Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute—a long time scholar and policy professional regarding Middle East affairs—virtually visited with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, from Singapore, to discuss these hottest of hotspots in what remains the world’s most politically volatile and dangerous region, and what options may exist for the United States and friendly governments in the region to address these ongoing conflicts.

Dr. Garfinkle is the author of a provocative recent essay on Syria, "What To Do about Idlib?"
