About the Event

As Ambassador and Consul General of Japan in New York, H.E. Kanji Yamanouchi is dedicated to serving as a bridge for U.S.-Japan relations; one that meets the political and economic demands of the 21st century, as well as the nation each has become.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about the new Prime Minister's foreign policy priorities, the Quad agreement, the history of US-Japan relations, and the importance of business and trade relationships for Japan.

The Council’s “Diplochat” series provides meeting attendees with the opportunity to have an in-depth, off-the-record conversation with diplomats from around the world. Audience members will have the ability to ask questions and engage with those appointed by their governments to represent their country, skillfully negotiate, and use soft power to maintain political, economic, and social relations on the global stage. The conversation will be facilitated by the Council’s President & CEO, Lauren Swartz.

Please review the Council's COVID-19 Health and Safety Policies before registering. By registering for this event, you are agreeing to these policies.
