About the Event

Politics is often one of the most polarizing topics for people—so much so, that the saying even goes, “There are three things you don’t discuss in polite company: money, religion, and politics.” But what if we should be discussing politics? And what if we could do so in ways that led us to bipartisan consensus and smart policymaking?

The Problem Solvers’ Caucus in Congress is on a mission to change the partisan gridlock in D.C. and to help solve some of the most pressing challenges confronting the United States. Both Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick are part of the Problem Solvers Caucus and have come together to address the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia’s audience members to answer questions about why it’s so important to advocate for bipartisanship in our hyper-partisan era.

The conversation will be moderated by Ryan Clancy, Chief Strategist of No Labels, an organization seeking to bridge the growing chasm separating Democrats and Republicans and encourage political leaders to put the country above party.
