It’s the “Olympics of Pop,” an over-the-top spectacle of talent, glam, and glitter – in a word, it’s Eurovision! The beloved international song contest is organized every year by the European Broadcasting Union. Participating countries submit their song to be performed live – and voted on by the competing countries to determine a winner. It’s the contest that has brought us ABBA, Celine Dion, and Bonnie Tyler.

Fans won’t want to miss a minute of this nail-biter of a competition, and The German Society along with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia invite you to experience the performances in the perfect setting. We’ll live stream this year’s contest, which takes place in Basel, Switzerland, in our auditorium as stars from Europe and beyond battle it out to be crowned best crooner.

The watch party will be followed by a dance party in the German Society’s retro Ratskeller.
