Section 6: Country Assignments

Throughout 2023 - 24 Model United Nations program, students will work in small groups assigned to both (1) a country delegation and (2) one of two committee topics. This year's topics are:

  1. Access to Clean Water & Sanitation for All (SDG 6)
  2. Reducing Inequality Between and Among Countries (SDG 1)

Students may complete optional assignments of writing a position paper or recording an opening speech video from the perspective of a delegate from their assigned country. All students will draft a policy resolution proposing solutions related to their assigned topic.

Each school will receive a certain number of country assignments corresponding directly to their registered number of students. If you would like to request specific country assignments for your students, please indicate below.

While we cannot guarantee a specific country assignment, we will do our very best to accommodate your school's request.

Country Selections
Please list below no more than 5 UN Member States that your school is interested in representing. Please rank your selections by interest, with 1 being the highest and 5 being the lowest.

Section 7: Refund & Invoice Adjustment Policy

We understand that students’ schedules and circumstances may change at the last minute. However, our programs have limited space and our costs are dependent, in part, on the total number of students that are registered in advance. Therefore, to receive any adjustments to your invoice, we kindly request that you inform us of any changes in the number of students you have registered by Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Your school's number of students also corresponds directly to your school's country and topic assignments. Please note that due to the high volume of participants in Model UN, we are unable to change country delegations and/or topic assignments.

We thank you for your understanding!
