The Young Professionals of the World Affairs Council have been quite busy! Young Professionals recently attended a post-program discussion at Fadó Irish pub following our March 15th event with Moody's Analytics' Chief Economist, Mark Zandi. YPs also attended our program featuring Philadelphia Inquirer Worldview columnist Trudy Rubin, and a post-program dinner with Aldo Magazzeni, founder and director of Traveling Mercies, on December 7, 2009.

Council YPs enjoyed an evening with Cole and Heidi Hamels of the Hamels Foundation on November 17, 2009, and gathered at Nodding Head Brewery afterward for a lively post-program discussion on educational aid to Africa. Several also attended our national conference, The New Global Dynamic: Critical Security Issues in the 21st Century, with keynote speaker Al Gore on November 6, 2009, where they enjoyed a special YP lunch.
