In April 2008, Erwin Joos, curator of the Van Mieghem Museum in Antwerp presented a fascinating slideshow of Van Mieghem's art, which portrays the immigrants who traveled to Philadelphia on the Red Star Line. Director and member of the Council, Amy Nislow, hosted this exclusive event at her beautiful home, Dolobran, which was built by Philadelphia's beloved architect Frank Furness for Clement Griscom, owner of the Red Star Line. |
