Donate Now You can make a tax-deductible contribution to the Council. Each year more than 30 programs on world issues are brought to the podium for the Philadelphia area audience as we strive to inform, educate and engage our membership and the public. In secondary education our education programs serve grades 7-12. Students receive intensive short courses in current events, develop critical-thinking skills, practice in leadership and research techniques, and a true civic experience: a knowledge that they can understand world issues; a sense that they have a role to play as citizens. Options for planned giving include bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and charitable gift annuities. For more information, call Membership at 215-561-4700, ext. 221 or 222.
Thank you for all of the generous contributions we have received in response to Jayne and Walter Garrison's $60,000 Challenge Grant in support of our Global Leadership Programs! We are approaching our goal of $60,000 with $50,000 raised to date! With just a short time before our 60th anniversary year comes to a close, we need your help. Your support will help us continue our nationally acclaimed Global Leadership Programs, without interruption, throughout the next academic year. This effort includes such hallmark programs as Model United Nations and Model Senate Foreign Relations as well as the Urban Leadership Initiative, dedicated to providing curriculum-specific resources and hands-on support to economically disadvantaged schools in Philadelphia.
You may make your donation securely online, or mail your check to: The World Affairs Council, One South Broad Street, Suite 2M, Philadelphia, PA 19107, Attention: Challenge Grant.
The Legacy Society The Council established The Legacy Society to honor the generosity of all participants in our planned-giving programs. Benefits include recognition in Council publications, special events, and of course, the satisfaction and reward of making the legacy your own. A planned gift that benefits and preserves the Council can bring immediate and long-range financial benefits to you and your heirs. If you wish, the World Affairs Council and its partner The Philadelphia Foundation, would be pleased to arrange a no-obligation, confidential conversation with one of their experts along with you and your financial advisors to discuss the most advantageous way you can make the legacy your own.
