Founded in 1981 as a partnership between the school district and the World Affairs Council, Bodine High School is a small special admission school that offers a humanities-centered college preparatory program. Bodine now offers the International Baccalaureate diploma. The Council is responsible for providing the international dimension to the school, which is the only one of its kind in the nation co-sponsored by an urban school district and a private world affairs organization. Bodine students participate regularly in the Council's education and members' programs.
